Yes and at this point, we should assume it will stay down. I should probably put the source for the bitkeeper.org website on github as well and clean up the text to not refer to bkbits anymore. The ‘test drive’ could be tweaked to have you run a bkd locally and then do the tests.
Harlan Stenn has volunteered to host bkbits.net. He would need to get access to the content. One option is he believes he has a server in the same datacenter, if someone could show up and hand over a hard drive or get it running long enough to mirror.
